Barrel Racer

We spent all day at a rodeo play day. Kiddo Numero Uno decided that she would like to be a barrel racer. This was her first ever race and she was a little bit nervous... She was concentrating really hard on what she was supposed to do.

Daddy decided to give her some last minute advice.

This was right as they were heading in to the arena. Daddy, Kiddo Numero Uno and Rosey were all ready to go.

Here they are on their way back. Great Job!!

They made it back all in one piece with everyone still smiling. YAY!!

She LOVED it!! Loved it!! Loved it!! She has decided that she wants to be a barrel racer and I'm so excited because I always wanted to be a barrel racer, so I would love to see her live her dreams.

Daddy was very proud of her too!!

Stay tuned for more pictures to come of the rodeo play day tomorrow!!

Awesome. Isn't it nice that they have playdays for the kids to learn. Our our like that every Friday night. Never had that when we were kids just get on and go full throttle or you looked like a fool. Congrats. Can't wait to see more photos.

That's so cool! Sold a horse to a 4yr girl to barrel race on, some years back..family went ALL out for her. Cajun now is 18, Rebba is 14 and she has kicked butt everywhere she competes! Even against the Women...who Grrrrrr when they saw her and Cajun on the roster! Took TX by a storm last year! Sold Cajun to another 'beginner' 5yr old, last fall for $25K after she finished in TX..to buy a younger horse to compete more on! (we sure didn't make money, but we have enjoyed the moments & memories watching the two of them learn & grow together!)
It's a good age to nuture them into what could be a lifelong dream! I love these kinds of kid stories!
