Last Branding

Today was the last branding of the season. There will probably be a few stray late calves that may need to be branded, but this was the last official BIG branding.

These are the hardest worker's on the ranch...

Best looking, too....

These poor suckers were just waiting their turn. Don't they look excited!!

This guy was actually really excited and decided that he didn't want to have a turn. He got really excited an chased off everyone who was in the pen with him. But the cowboys were more persistent and he still had to have his turn. He did make the day exciting for everyone in the pen though...

And how was your day?

Your day looked more exciting than mine! I slept in, ran errands and cleaned house. Not too exciting....not even a MD BBQ to attend! :(
Those sorrel workers are sure beauties!!

I really like your second photo. They're beautiful... or... handsome? LOL on that ornery calf. We've got a yearling bull that'll give you a run for your money but he'll end up in the freezer before too long. ;)

PS: I left you an award over at my blog but I think you've already received it. Oh well... It is well deserved anyway.

Oh man-I love your corrals. Most everyone has switched to pipe around here. I miss those beautiful old wood corrals.
